Abstract:
In 1972, Kerr and colleagues introduced the term “apoptosis”, which defines the cessation of the cell’s vital function. The term “oncosis”
also appeared in the specialized literature of the time, which implied the
concept of cell death before the completion of the cell cycle. Oncosis represents the first phase of the accidental death of the cell, which leads to
edema, tumor, its swelling. Much has been said in the literature about programmed cell death as well. Researchers use both the terms programmed
cell death and apoptosis. Otherwise we appreciate programmed cell death
as a stage of apoptosis. In the given article we set our goal to talk about
apoptosis and cancer
