Abstract:
Education in the age of mass media: Implications of media consumption
on children and teenagers. The article aims to provide new theoretical
foundations and research perspectives, given the unprecedented spread
that the mass media has recently known. The almost unanimous interest
shown for the information they provide, in contexts and at low costs, raises
many questions for the educational system. First related to the impact
of the models they promote on the development of the person, especially
of children and adolescents. The decisive factor in the impact that mass
media has on new generations is related to ease of use, followed by the
satisfaction or joy it offers to the consumer.
