Abstract

The given article tries to expose the particularity of the European culture reflected under the aspect of the category of Time in Constantin Noika’sphilosophy aboutthe complexity of the cultural model. We try to elucidate C. Noika’s interogation that the real Time is not from the cyclic or liniar point ofview but under the aspect of the time Kairos – the time of the favourable moment, the opportune time convenient for changes. The notion of Time characterized by dynamism and space during their repetition Noika affirms in the retrospectionof William Shakespear’s Sonets, Rene Descartes, Wilhelm Leibniz, Immanuel Kant, Ilya Prigojine, Mihai Eminescu etc. The actuality of the addressed theme about the kairos’s time is determined by dynamism of the scientific culture through its acceleration and creativity, which is named by Noika ”historical news” – ”Kairicity” – ”hypostasis of the European culture in history” – ”the thermodynamics of the spirit”.
