Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze a problem faced by contemporary society:
food/sugar and dependence on them. Through a reading journal, two
causes of it are presented: the food industry that influences us, a theory
supported by M Moss in his work „Addiction to Food” and our behavior
that allows itself to be influenced, a theory supported by D. Gerkens in
the paper „Sugar, more dangerous than cocaine?”. The solution to this
problem is related to free will because we have to decide what is right and
what is wrong for us and our health.
