Abstract:
Osteoarthritis of the supporting joints (hip and knee) are ranked 1-st in the
hierarchical structure of adult orthopedic disabilities, as a result of frequent
traumas and biomechanical particularities, often resulting in locomotor sequelae. Locomotor disability affects the medical and social independence of
patients with osteoarthritis of the supporting joints, so their rehabilitation is
a social priority. In the retrospective study was effectuated a statistical analysis of clinical and paraclinical data extracted from 108 medical records of
patients treated of gonarthrosis and 75 patients treated of coxarthrosis. A dynamic quantification of functional parameters was performed based on the
results of these patients through index quality of life. This statistical analysis
provided results of treatment dispersed in2 groups: of maximum and average
curative efficacy. The application of the predictive statistical method proposed
by the author Afifi allowed the deduction of a rule as a criterion of discrimination and the assignment of a new element to one of the two groups of results
of the curation, with the highest accuracy, offering the possibilties of asessing
the prognostic criteria of the Curative Results, according to the importance of
the functional parameters value.
