Abstract

The article brings out arguments that support the importance and the necessity of using the International Labor Organization’s (ILO) List of Professional Diseases (revised 2010). This occupational health tool provides a well-defined framework for the diagnosis and classification of occupational diseases according to international standards. Aligning the national documentation with the European one will increase the quality of the occupational health services provided and lead to reliable employees’ health monitoring.
