Abstract:
In contemporary medicine, two approaches to the end-of-life patients can
be identified: palliative care and euthanasia. They are considered alternative
approaches, based on their primary objectives assumed at conceptual and factual levels. Each of them involves certain processes, actions and decisions that
become real challenges for the medical staff. This article will analyze some
data derived from a study conducted on a sample of 370 surgical and therapeutic profiles doctors from the Republic of Moldova. These data refer to doctors’
views on end-of-life medical practices.
