Abstract

An important role in the life of contemporary societies is played by the Health System, which constitutes a set of elements and relationships that determine the health status of individuals and populations. The health system is made up of elements in interaction belonging to the political, social, economic, cultural system existing in a country at a given time. Depending on the different types of relationships that occur between the third party payer, provider and consumer (patient), seven types of health systems can be described.
