Abstract

The problem of ageism (from the English”age”) – the creation of stereotypes and discrimination of individuals or groups of people by age, is increasingly attracting public attention. Most often, ageism affects the elderly, due to their greater vulnerability.It is necessary to identify the facts of institutional and everyday ageism in the health care system and take measures to prevent and overcome negative gerontostereotypes.
