Abstract

Philosophical consideration of the violence is extremely important in the modern world. All civilizations had norms aimed at limiting violence, including violence during war, since such norms represented the essence of the evolutionary development of European civilization. One of the key contradictions in international politics, regarding the assessment of Ukraine’s tactics and strategy in the war against Russia, is the confrontation between two ethical positions: the position of a just war and the position of political realism.
