Aspecte bioetice ale audiologiei clinice

Abstract

Audiological diagnostic and treatment of patients with hearing loss is performed by ENT-audiologist, acoustician-audiprotezist (in the case of the pediatric population it includes logoped, neuropediatric, geneticist) and depends on interconnections with other disciplines related to otology, neurophysiology, neurobiology, sound physics, pharmacogenetics and, last but not least, bioethics. The bioethical principles describe not only what is “human” for different clinical situations, but also impose different restrictions and obligations in professional activity, aiming at maintaining a high standard of competence, taking into consideration the multidisciplinary approach of patients with hearing impairment.
