Abstract:
In Lucian Blaga’s reflections on the philosophy of religion, the attitude
and conception of religion, the emphasis is not on the theological dimension, but on the philosophical and cultural as a whole. He understands
the religious phenomenon differently from typical religiosity, more like a
cultural manifestation, a spirituality of essences, of what remains perennial, transcends time and space. Lucian Blaga refuses dogmas, capable of
limiting knowledge; he speaks out against all coercion, proclaiming the
need for complete freedom of spirit.
