Abstract:
Mycoplasma pneumoniae is a common cause of community-acquired
pneumonia in children, often presenting with mild, atypical symptoms that
complicate diagnosis. We report a case of pneumonia in a 4-year-old boy
confirmed by PCR and serology, with full recovery after azithromycin therapy.
This case highlights the importance of early combined diagnostics and
awareness of macrolide resistance trends.
