Abstract:
Global demographic aging requires a rethinking of strategies to
support cognitive health in later life, in the context of maintaining
autonomy and quality of life. This study provides a synthesis of the
scientific literature on the effectiveness of psycho-pedagogical strategies in developing and maintaining cognitive reserve. The evidence
regarding the impact of lifelong learning, neuroplasticity, and multidomain interventions on cognitive function is analyzed. The focus is
placed on promoting an active lifestyle, social engagement, and the
optimization of the brain’s adaptive potential, outlining key directions
for educational and social policies aimed at supporting healthy aging.
