Abstract:
Translational neuroscience is an interdisciplinary field within
biomedical sciences that seeks to transfer fundamental knowledge about
the brain and nervous system into clinical practice. Recent discoveries
in identifying biological and neurodevelopmental markers have sparked extensive debate in the scholarly literature regarding informed consent,
the confidentiality of neurological data, the responsible use of early
childhood interventions, autism and its status as a vulnerability, ethical
dilemmas in translational neuroscience, and the ethical protection of
patients with autism involved in research and biomedical interventions.
