Abstract

Patient autonomy suffers when a health problem occurs in a prison environment that can affect the rest of the healthy people, as in the case of infectious diseases. Unequal access to medical services and the prison system itself develop conflicts in relation to the rights of the person, the hierarchy of the subculture and ethical principles.
