dc.description.abstract Mental illnesses are among the most severe conditions, dramatically affecting the quality of life of both the patient and their family. The incidence of these pathologies is continuously increasing worldwide, which requires not only an analysis of the clinical aspect but also of the bioethical one. To emphasize the necessity of integrating these principles and aspects into medical practice. This will lead to a qualitative improvement in the services provided in the context of medical care. National clinical protocols, practical methods, national and international regulations, scientific articles and monographic publications in the fields of communication, medical ethics, psychiatry and bioethics, both domestic and foreign, were analyzed. In this study, theoretical, analytical and bioethical methods were applied. Currently, along with adequate professional training, medical personnel must respect and apply in medical practice fundamental ethical principles, which put the patient's personality and needs at the forefront. Clear communication, respect for autonomy, an empathetic and personalized attitude appropriate to each case is not only a legal obligation, but also an ethical one, contributing to the strengthening of the doctor-patient relationship and to a more significant involvement of the patient in the multifactorial process of treatment and psychological recovery - these will lead to the optimization of the quality of the medical act. Medical staff must adopt a special, empathetic, and personalized approach in the medical act. Effective communication is key to building a strong doctor-patient relationship and is vital in optimizing the medical act, ultimately enhancing therapeutic efficiency and the overall quality of care. en_US
