Aspectul psihologic al durerii lombare cronice

Abstract

It’s estimated that from 60% to 80% of people are affected by a kind of form of low back pain during their lifetime and from 5% to 10% eventually develop chronic low back pain. The impact of psychological and social factors in the etiology of low back pain was underestimated for a long period and in the past the treatment usually was limited to surgical options. Scientific advances have yielded new treatment modalities which can also include some psycho-therapeutic methodologies. The current study is a synthesis of other studies and is also an analysis of low back history of some patients from Neurology and Neurosurgery Institute, Chişinău, Republic of Moldova in order to demonstrate the importance of implication of psychological factors in the development of chronic low back pain.

Se estimează că 60-80% din populaţie pe parcursul vieţii este afectată de o oarecare formă de durere lombară şi la 5-19% în sfârşit se va dezvolta durerea lombară cronică. Impactul factorilor psihologici şi sociali asupra etiologiei durerii lombare a fost mult timp subestimat, tratamentul fiind de obicei limitat la operaţii chirurgicale. Progresul ştiinţific a permis elaborarea noilor modalităţi de tratament, ce ar putea să includă unele metodologii psihoterapeutice. Studiul dat reprezintă o sinteză a altor studii şi, totodată, o analiză a cazurilor pacienţilor cu durere lombară de la Institutul de Neurologie şi Neurochirurgie, Chişinău, Republica Moldova, cu scopul de a demonstra importanţa implicării factorilor psihologici în cronicizarea durerii lombare.
