Hepatita cronică virală C şi depresia

Abstract

Chronic viral hepatitis C is often accompanied by symptoms of depression. Screening of depression in patients with hepatitis C is important because psychiatric complications of interferon therapy may represent a serious obstacle for antiviral therapy. Management and correction of mental condition in these patients contributes to better adherence to therapy, improve patient quality of life and treatment outcomes.

Hepatita cronică virală C deseori este acompaniată de simptome depresive. Screeningul depresiei la pacienţii cu hepatita C este important din cauza că complicaţiile psihiatrice ale interferonoterapiei pot servi un obstacol substanţial în tratamentul antiviral. Managementul şi corecţia statului psihoemoţional la aceşti pacienţi va contribui la o aderenţă mai bună la tratament, va spori calitatea vieţii pacienţilor şi rezultate terapeutice mai bune.
