Abstract:
Bronchial asthma (BA) is one from most frequent chronic obstructive bronchopulmonary
diseases in children. Conformable to ISAAC data (International Study of Asthma and
Allergy in Children), BA affects 5-20% of children on earth. The programs of actual treatment
depend from evolutionary forms and complications. The persistent severe forms need
administration of combined therapy, including drugs with secondary effects on cardiovascular
system. Our retrospective study aimed the analysis of cardiovascular modifications in 240
children with BA. In children with severe BA (142 (51,9%) children from total 240) arrhythmias
and other modifications of repolarization processes were present in over 80% of patients,
including 3 children which had signs of cor pulmonale, independent from age.
