dc.description.abstract This report represents a study of the contemporary diagnostic methods and treatment of the pancreatic pseudocyst, applied to a number of 265 patients during 1995-2011. The most efficient methods in pancreatic pseudocyst diagnosis turned to be: ecography, CT, RMN, ERPC. In 94.33% cases, the median laparotomy approach was applied. The approach undertaken provides easy access to abdominal structures and organs, with a detailed inspection, as well as an adequate cleaning of the abdominal cavity. In 5.67% cases, mini invasive methods have been undertaken. The chirurgical treatment decreased considerably the number of patients with a dolor syndrome, with an obvious improvement of the overall health situation.
