Abstract

Abstract: Nonmalignant bone tumors represent a wide variety of different entities but maintain many common features. They usually affect young patients, and most can be diagnosed through imaging exams. Often asymptomatic, they can be discovered incidentally. Due to their similarities, these tumors may be challenging to diagnose and differentiate between each other, thus the need for a complete and clear description of their main characteristics. The aim of this review is to give a picture of the benign bone tumors that clinicians can encounter more frequently in their everyday work.

Abstract. Tumorile osoase benigne reprezintă o varietate de entități diferite, dar care au multe caracteristici comune. Acestea afectează de obicei pacienții tineri, adesea sunt asimptomatice și pot fi descoperite accidental. Datorită asemănărilor lor, aceste tumori pot fi o provocare în plan de diagnostic diferențial, astfel apare nevoia unei descrieri complete și clară a principalelor caracteristici ale acestora. Scopul acestei revizuiri este de a oferi o imagine comprehensivă asupra principalelor caracteristici ale tumorile osoase benigne pe care clinicienii din domeniul pediatriei le pot întâlni frecvent în munca lor de zi cu zi.
